(Both ships are shown as they appeared in 1944)Ī: A is marked on Maya. Moving on to Chokai and Maya, we shall start with the pagoda's Chokai left, Maya right. we have not the Atago, but the Takao in game. Notice also the piping going down Takao's funnel, Takao has 3 pipes, atago has 2.įor those of you who are wondering. Dont ask me what this thing is, but its located further towards the rear of Takao's funnel and further forward on atago's funnel. Takao left, Atago right.Ī: A is marked on both ships. So in this review I will be comparing Atago to Takao, and Chokai to Maya.īetween Takao '45 and Atago '44 there are very few differences, in fact beside AA mount locations there is only one difference, and it is on the forward funnels. Chokai and Maya, however, kept their humungous pagoda's. Now If you do a bit of research on the Takao class you will know that they were originally constructed with massive pagoda's, Takao and Atago recieved had their pagoda's cut down in order to make the stability problem due to the weight less noticable. As per request the next class i will be looking at is the Takao class.
